In 1984 our family opened an exclusive, party supply retail store called “Follies and Favors”. It offered high-end entertainment goods, balloon arrangements, and decorations to a public clientele. During this time, we received numerous requests from both individual customers and local businesses to rent helium tanks, and decided to open a wholesale helium and balloon company to fulfill these needs. Upon opening the first Handyman in 1986, we vowed to provide our customers with something that is being lost, more, and more with the growth of the modern age: good, old-fashioned customer service and quality products at a fair price. Since then, fourteen Handyman have opened nationwide – and all have been founded on these same goals.
